I think someone screwed up on the Peter Vanderkaay scoring....Vanderkaay has swam in one event so far: the 200 Freestyle, where he got a bronze. Everywhere I look, there's a three next to Peter's name? Why is that?

That relay was amazing. I have had a lot of fun watching this year's games.

Jeremy, I would recommend awarding a Gold, Silver and Bronze to each division and then an overall Gold, Silver and Bronze.

That way it parallels what we did in 2006. And it will keep more people interested until the end.

Even though I was able to take Australians I didn't know enough about them to take any and I felt more comfortable with just Americans. So it works out (I'm the team with Phelps) that we can tell how the Ausies do in comparison.

And by the way, great job with the competition, so far everything seems to be running pretty smoothly (at least from my end). And I am having a ball. I actually cheered at the end of the relay and even though that was amazing, I probably would not have done that otherwise.

@anonymous: due to international interest, we created one division that was allowed to draft atheletes from non-US countries. This was done in the Olympic spirit of inclusion. Think of it in baseball terms as the NL and the AL.

Also: We're still getting a handle on how to efficiently update the scores. If your medal count isn't correct right now, everything will be corrected this evening EST.

Yeah, pretty much the winner will be someone with Phelps. Next time, we should open it up to all countries. That's where the real Olympic die-hards will excell.

We are monitoring the Australian division closely. If the winner of that division gains an advantage by using Australian athletes, we will also name another overall winner because of the obvious disparity.

However, we anticipate that the overall winner will come down to a contest between everyone who has Phelps... and the team with Phelps in the Australian league chose all American athletes.

But yes, we are aware of that situation. It's all part of the growing pains as we have more than 20 times as many participants this year, so we are having to adjust on the fly. Stay tuned... we won't let anyone get screwed by our unexpected growth.

How is this competition completely even? Some of the divisions were allowed to use Australian swimmers and some weren't? That's a big deal for the women, especially!
