Fun fact: You may have noticed throughout the Games that the U.S. and the rest of the world are not on the same page when it comes to the medal count. We claim to be on top with 102 total medals, while everyone else thinks China leads with 47 golds.

I decided to do a little experiment, applying our 3-2-1 scoring system to the medal count. The result? A dead heat. 200 points for Team USA, 200 points for China.
